Who I am to argue with the Doctor or a DW fan? It was rather badass wasn't it?

Oh, definitely. I love how the new series brought up the idea that centuries of kicking the ass of whole armies and godlike beings would result in the Doctor building up a certain reputation.

It's even sweeter because he'd basically said earlier in the episode that the Vashta Nerada were unbeatable - so it was a seriously badass bluff.

And wonderfully delivered, too. *g*
